Kindness goes a long way and is always appreciated, even with animals. One evening, Bob Hoelter decided to walk to his favorite store instead of driving. As he was crossing a bridge to the shop, he heard a faint, mournful whimpering from below. He goes around the bridge from under the bridge in search of the wounded creature. When he finally saw him, he was heartbroken to see a terrified puppy with its mouth taped shut. The poor dog was thrown off a bridge by its previous owner.
Holt immediately took the puppy to the nearest hospital, Griffith Animal Hospital. Hospital manager Lori Kovavich has made the puppy’s treatment a top priority. The first thing they did was remove the tape around his nose and mouth, which really damaged the skin. They gave him antibiotic ointment and injections. They also discovered that the puppy had a broken leg and needed surgery. After completing the initial treatment, they made a comfortable bed for the puppy.
After the puppy’s story went viral, a local family called The Wittings fell in love with the puppy immediately and decided to adopt him, naming him Louie.
At that time, the man who rescued the puppy was unknown because he just took him to the hospital and left without saying his name, but one day Herter’s niece saw the clinic on Facebook Post about Louie’s story, which led to their reunion.
When the puppy is finally reunited with his hero, he recognizes him immediately and runs to shower him with all the love he can, his way of thanking the person who saved his life. Louie kept licking Hoelter’s face. No one thought Louie would recognize his hero, but dogs can always surprise us.
Today, Louie lives with his new family, the Whittings, but we’re sure he’ll never cease to be grateful for those who saved his life
