Little Dog Is So Happy That People Remembered His Birthday

Do you remember when you turned 18? It was a pretty big deal. Becoming that magical age meant you had left childhood behind and become an adult.

For dogs, ʜɪᴛᴛɪɴɢ the age of 3 years is very similar. A 3-year-old dog is no longer a puppy — not even an older one. Once a dog hits 3, he’s truly a young adult.

This is Odin — a little dog with little paws, little ears, and a little tail that wags when he’s happy. But recently, on the little pup’s big day, one thing about Odin was anything but small.

But his smile on this day was anything but small.

Odin lives with Joyce Cetina and her family. Odin has showered the family with love and affection every day since he was adopted 3 years ago.

“He’s a very faithful companion. He loves to hug and play.”

As Odin’s birthday approached earlier in the month, the Cetina family went above and beyond to celebrate it. They threw him an amazing sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇ party to show just how much they love and appreciate him.

The Cetina’s had ordered a dog-friendly cake, and hung up decorations.

Then they revealed the sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇ to Odin.

Odin was definitely sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇd and was clearly ᴛᴏᴜᴄʜᴇᴅ to know that the family he loves so much, seem to be reciprocating.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a birthday without a happy birthday song.

The loving family even got a dog-friendly cake for Odin as well as decorating the house.

“At first, he was a little confused. He didn’t understand what it was all about,” Joyce said. “Then he saw the attention was focused on him, and the cake was for him. He was very happy.”

“He loved it”

Odin was then given some presents, which of course he enjoyed.

“Above all, he liked the many kisses and hugs he received.”

Though technically it was Odin’s big day (or rather the anniversary of the day they adopted him), his family feels like they’re the ones who’ve gotten the biggest gift of all.

“Of course, Odin is loved and pampered all year round,” Joyce said. “But for us, this is an important day because it’s the day he came into our lives. He makes us very happy.”
