I’m not perfect but I deserve some love on my birthday today, right?

Nicky was born blind in one eye, but he lived a happy and carefree life. He was always full of energy, running around the yard and chasing squirrels recklessly. But today was different. It was Nicky’s birthday, and he felt a little sad.

He had hoped that his birthday would be a special day, filled with love and attention. But as the day wore on, he realized that his disability had made him feel a little different. He watched as other dogs played happily with their humans, their tails wagging with joy. Nicky felt a pang of envy.

Just as Nicky was about to give up hope, he heard a familiar voice calling his name. It was his human, Sarah. She knelt down beside him and gave him a big hug. “Happy birthday, Nicky,” she said. “You’re the most wonderful dog in the world.”

Nicky’s tail wagged happily. He knew that Sarah loved him unconditionally, no matter what. As they played together in the yard, Nicky realized that his disability didn’t define him. He was still a loving, playful dog, and he deserved to be treated with kindness and respect.

As the sun began to set, Nicky curled up on Sarah’s lap, feeling content and loved. He might not have been perfect, but he was loved, and that was all that mattered.
