Today is my birthday and I am very sick, but no one cares

Bom was a stray dog, a solitary figure in the bustling city. He’d wandered the streets for as long as he could remember, finding shelter under bridges or in abandoned buildings. Today was his birthday, a day he usually spent dreaming of a warm home and a loving family. But this year, it felt particularly lonely.

Bom was sick. His fur was matted and dirty, and his eyes were dull and lifeless. He had no energy to chase squirrels or play fetch, activities he once loved. Instead, he spent his days curled up in alleyways, trying to stay warm and out of sight.

As the sun began to set, Bom found himself in a small park. He watched as people strolled by, their faces filled with joy and laughter. He yearned to be part of their world, to feel the warmth of a human touch. But he knew that his appearance would scare them away.

Just when Bom was about to give up hope, he heard a faint sound. He pricked up his ears and listened intently. The sound grew louder, and soon, he saw a small girl approaching. The girl was carrying a bag of treats and a toy.

“Hello there,” the girl said, kneeling down to pet Bom. “Are you okay?”

Bom’s heart swelled with gratitude. He hadn’t been touched by a human in so long. The girl gave him a treat and played with him for a while. As they sat together in the park, Bom realized that even though he was a stray, he wasn’t completely alone. There were still kind people in the world who cared about animals like him.
